Rosita Y Conchita Grief Poem

We realized that as a result of recent events in this country and around the world, there may be many people, especially children, who are feeling scared or worried right now.  We wanted to put together a message that hopefully would offer a bit of comfort to those who may have lost someone they cared about.  This poem was written by Erich Haeger with art by Eric Gonzalez.  Please feel free to download and share this image with anyone in your life you think could benefit from it.

More El Tigre backgrounds

Just a couple more Tigre BGs from my archive.

The credit goes to: Art Directors Jerry De Jesus and Roman Laney and BG designers Katrien Verbiest, Joseph Holt and Kyle Neswald.

Then I got my grubby mitts on them and did the actual "painting" of the BGs.

Zefronk!

Zefronk is one of the projects I have been working on here at Oddbot Inc. The show premiered last weekend on Playhouse Disney. The original Character and BG designs were done by the show's creator Ethan Long. I did the clean up and color on the backgrounds and the drawn props. Oh, and I designed the logo too!

I was fortunate enough to be asked to contribute a pin-up to the new Dr. Grave comic created by the talented Ed Clayton. Thanks to Erich Haeger who worked very hard to get the book together and to Ed Clayton for the opportunity to display my work in his comic. EL TIGRE BGs!

I had the pleasure and honor of working with two of my heroes and idols, Jorge Gutierrez and Sandra Equihua on season 2 of TV's best kept secret, El Tigre! Working on that show was a dream come true for me and a great learning experience. Along with Jorge and Sandra I got to work with some of the top talent in animation and for that I am both humbled and grateful.

So finally Nickelodeon has decided to start airing the 2nd season and I can finally post some of the background painting I did on the show. I'm not sure who worked on which BGs but the incredibly talented team that helped create them were: Art Directors Jerry De Jesus and Roman Laney and BG designers Katrien Verbiest, Joseph Holt and Kyle Neswald. Then I tried really hard not to ruin the awesome job they did.

Enjoy!

The destroyed city BG above was actually the test I took to get the job on El Tigre. I was very excited when I found out they were going to use my test as one of the BGs on the show, and that I was going to get paid for it!
